1. About this policy
This policy describes the current Diflo macOS app and this product website, operated by Tingqiang Tuo. Effective date: November 2, 2026. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.
2. Text files and local processing
Diflo reads, compares and edits files you select or drag into the app. File contents are processed on your Mac and are not uploaded to the developer. The current app has no account, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or developer-operated cloud synchronization.
3. Local drafts, recent files and preferences
For recovery, Diflo stores unsaved text from both panes, file locations, security-scoped bookmarks, encoding, comparison options and cursor positions in its sandbox Application Support/Diflo directory. Drafts contain your text and should be treated as sensitively as the source files. Up to 20 recent comparisons retain file locations and access bookmarks, without document contents. Editor preferences are stored locally in app settings.
4. Retention, control and deletion
You can delete individual recovery drafts and clear recent comparisons on the home screen. Explicitly discarding a comparison, or saving and then ending it, removes its associated recovery draft. The in-app privacy window can clear drafts not currently in use and recent records; open windows are preserved. These actions do not delete your original files. File access may need to be granted again after a file is moved or system permissions change.
5. Website and third-party services
The website demo uses predefined examples and runs in your browser. It does not upload files, use analytics scripts, set tracking cookies, or save demo state to browser storage. Your hosting provider may process technical access information such as IP addresses and request logs when serving this website. Its practices depend on the provider selected at deployment. Apple may separately process App Store distribution or diagnostic information under its own settings and privacy policy.
6. Support messages and your rights
If you email support, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. They are used to respond and investigate your issue, and retained only as needed for support or applicable obligations. Email providers also process these messages. Please avoid sending confidential files. You can ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have provided by emailing us. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
7. Updates
We will update this page and its effective date if how Diflo handles data changes. This policy describes the current version; new services or data collection will require an updated explanation.
